The Castolin Eutectic Group is a global leader in wear protection, repair and joining technology. We produce and distribute high-quality welding consumables, welding equipment and services. We enable our customers to achieve sustainable and resource-saving production by extending the service life of machinery and equipment and reducing maintenance and spare parts costs.


For our location close to Frankfurt (Kriftel) in the Rhine-Main area we are looking for a

Senior Manager Global ESG & CSR (m/f/d)

Castolin Eutectic offers maintenance, surface protection and special joining using welding, brazing and coating technologies in different industry sectors, such as oil & gas, steel, chemical, waste & recycling, pulp & paper, glass, power generation, agriculture and mining. With over 1.600 employees the company operates globally. Castolin Eutectics generates over € 300 m sales, approx. 50% of that within Europe.

The company was sold from Messer Group to Paragon Partners in 2021. With the carve-out a new management structure has been established.

Immediately after the carve-out, the newly appointed management started to build up a highly qualified HQ organisation through which the entire company is functionally controlled. In the meantime, the Global HQ has been enriched with international experts from different cultural backgrounds and is well networked with the operational units worldwide.

The Castolin Eutectic Group started early with the introduction and development of an initial ESG philosophy and the management of sustainability goals. Already in 2022, the company won the Navex Global ESG Award, and was thus recognised for its ESG management. Starting in 2023, each executive manager received an ESG sustainability goal in their individual target agreement.

The purpose of the role of the Senior Manager Global ESG &CSR is to lead the draft, design and development of the future ESG & CSR strategy and ensure its implementation & execution.



Key Accountabilities/ Responsible for:

  • Develop, lead, execute, and articulate the company's cohesive ESG strategy in conjunction with senior leadership team and other business or program leaders.
  • Identify and prioritize ESG issues that are material to the company and its stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with ESG standards and regulations.
  • Create the framework, metrics, and measurements to ensure that the company delivers on its commitments.
  • Develop and manage process for collecting qualitative and quantitative data to feed into internal KPIs and dashboards, client ESG requests, and reporting for external voluntary commitments, such as UNGC, CDP and SBTi.
  • Monitor and report on ESG performance, including progress towards goals and targets.
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to build relationships and promote ESG initiatives.
  • Collaborate with other departments to integrate ESG considerations into decision-making processes.
  • Manage ESG-related risks and opportunities, including climate change, social issues, and governance.
  • Direct third-party consultants and vendors as needed.
  • Stay up to date on ESG trends, regulations, and best practices.
  • Designs the annual report regarding CSRD

Job requirements

Knowledge & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as sustainability, environmental science, or business.
  • 5-7 years of experience in ESG Management, sustainability, or related field.
  • Experience developing and implementing ESG strategies and initiatives.
  • Experience managing teams and projects
  • Fluent in English (French, Italian, German would be a plus)
