The company is a global leader in cost-effective repair and maintenance solutions. Castolin Eutectic offers maintenance, surface protection and special joining using welding, brazing and coating technologies in different industry sectors, such as oil & gas, steel, chemical, waste & recycling, pulp & paper, glass, power generation, agriculture and mining.

The company was sold from Messer Group to Paragon Partners in 2021. With the carve out a new management structure will be established.



The purpose of this role is to support and manage the design, implementation and improvement of engineering projects and processes.



Job requirements

Responsibilities 

  • Assist the engineering team in the review and operation of the asset based PPM system
  • Undertake asset tagging of all serviceable / maintainable equipment and identify regulatory, statutory and compliance equipment and machinery lists.
  • Work with the engineering team to create and modify engineering designs and drawings.
  • Collaborate with production & maintenance teams to identify and compile asset based work instructions and SOP,s for various manufacturing and maintenance task and equipment.
  • Assist with ensuring that all engineering activities are in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Work on projects as assigned by Lead engineer/Managing Director
  • Own and operate the spare parts list and carryout regular stock requirements for maintenance and manufacturing needs.
  • Conduct and record machine and equipment inspections and audits.
  • Assist with EHS requirements relating to site safety requirements
  • Performing quality control tasks on budgets, schedules, plans, and personnel performance and reporting on the project's status.
  • Reviewing the engineering tasks and initiating the necessary corrective actions.
  • Developing specifications for the project's needed equipment.
  • Ensuring the project's compliance with the applicable codes, practices, policies, performance standards, and specifications.
  • Completing health and safety documentation as required.
  • Assisting on site works such as snagging, pre commissioning and commissioning and ensuring all the associated paperwork is completed to the highest standard.


Skills required

  • Degree in Mechanical, or Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to think creatively and analytically.
  • Good understanding of engineering principles and their application in a maintenance & manufacturing environment
  • Good verbal and written English with an understanding of share point, word, Excel etc.
  • Excellent Communication skills
  • Good time management and strong on attention to detail
  • Ability to work under supervision or own initiative
  • Analyse and solve a range of engineering problems, applying both basic principles and innovative approaches to address complex challenges.
  • Develop expertise in engineering principles, theories, and practices, becoming a recognized leader in our product management
  • Incorporate business policies and procedures into task completion, demonstrating an understanding of both company and customer needs.
  • Cultivate internal and external networks, serve as a resource for product managers and market centres
  • Interact cross-functionally, serving as a consultant for engineering & Product matters
