Opportunity!

We have a current opportunity for an Engineering Technician in our Services Division. This division focuses on applying applications expertise to fabricate wear resistant parts through different welding processes used within a wide spectrum of industries.

Position Overview

The Engineering Technician will be responsible for drafting productions drawings for fabrications as well as programming our laser welding cells.

What You’ll Do:

• Create production drawings using AutoCAD and Inventor for shop fabrications
• Program laser welding machine.
• Import drawings to Plasma Cutting machine for production
• Maintain Inventory levels of materials used in the cutting process using cutting software
• Have a working knowledge of Plasma Cutting machines and software
• Produce cost estimates and provide quotes to customers
• Communicate with customers and the sales team regarding project requirements
• Make revisions based on customer requirements
• Communicate and work with Shop employees regarding orders and projects
• Other duties as assigned

What You’ll Bring:

• Successful completion of a CAD drafting program and a minimum of 1 year of drafting experience.
• Knowledge of cutting nesting programs (plasma, laser, water jet, etc)
• 1+ years of programming laser welders
• Knowledge and experience with Fanuc Robots
• Experience in cost estimation in Bill of Materials a plus
• Attention to detail
